Who We Are
In 1996 I started a home for adults with learning difficulties, Blamsters Farm, in Halstead, Essex. This is now a successful business. I have now sold my remaining shares in the organisation in order to concentrate on the development and growth of Homes Plus Care.
I purchased Progressive Mews in 2013, with a vision of supporting people in an individual and unique way. I enjoy doing something worthwhile and of which I am very passionate about. I firmly believe that a home is only as good as the proprietor and the manager; from us the philosophy, culture and infrastructure of the home is set.
We ensure that, together with our carefully chosen staff, we work tirelessly to make sure the people we work for live in a safe and happy environment. Their privacy, dignity and right to have their voice heard, is respected at all times.
We at Homes Plus Care endeavour to achieve the balance between the importance of supporting individuals in their own or shared homes in an organised and efficient manner, with the rights of individuals to receive a person centred service that emphasises their individuality and self-worth.
Progressive Mews comprises of a Residential Service and separate Supported Living accommodation for adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.
This may include complex health needs and behavioural difficulties for adults between 18-65 with a primary diagnosis of Learning Disabilities.
The service has a homely environment divided into three areas, Acorn House, Blossom House and The Oaks.
