Meet some of our staff

Tony

Support Worker

Hello My name is Tony! I have worked at Progressive Mews for eight years, so that must say something! We have grown from little acorns to oaks, and indeed that's two of the names given to areas in our community, It is a thriving place to be and we strive to make lives better for those in our care, with a whole range of activities and learning courses from the adult education centre located in Colchester. There is a fabulous vibrant life here and everyone is welcome.

Festus

Support Worker

It's my pleasure and honour working with a team of enthusiastic people in Progressive Mews.

I can confirm that as a team we're making a lot of progress in supporting our tenants and other customers.

The management team are very supportive in providing discussion forums where every voice matters.

Angela

Team Leader

Hello, I'm Angela and have been working at Progressive Mews as one of the team leaders for just over four years.  We help with the smooth running of daily tasks and act as liaison with families and of course those we support. We search out new activities and places for our tenants to visit, including holidays. It’s a busy but fun place to be.

Helen

Behaviour Practitioner and Learning

Disability Nurse

Hi, I’m Helen, I’m the Behaviour Practitioner here at Progressive Mews, I’m also a Learning Disability Nurse. I was lucky enough to be approached by Pauline back in 2014 and I’ve been here ever since. In my ‘spare’ time I also work for the NHS undertaking LeDeR mortality reviews which look at the health inequalities for people with a learning disability, making recommendations for the future.
The people we are lucky enough to support are just amazing and the staff team work hard to be person centred at all times helping people live their best lives. We make sure staff are supported well and understand why people may challenge services - the rewards are endless and I’m proud to be part of it.
